Another tradition of the Christian Church is to perform a Christening or otherwise known as a baptism. The history of the baptism apparently goes back all the way to biblical times as it is believed that Jesus Christ himself was baptized. Baptism usually involves standing in water while water is poured over the upper body or poured three times on the forehead. Before the baptism, you will also have to purchase a christening dress for your little girl as well. Christening dresses will also cost roughly the same amount as a first communion dress and it’s going to get wet right after you buy it.
Religion can be a touchy subject for a lot of people, especially if they are spending hundreds of dollars every year just to be a part of the church and that doesn’t even account for the donations for the fancy wedding you will one day have to pay for because of your religion. But in conclusion, religion is not about expenses for the majority of our population, but many do see it as an inconvenience since it takes much of our time and money to be a part of something that’s based purely on faith. So whether it’s holy communion dresses or missing the Super Bowl because of it, we all have to sacrifice something in order to be “good Christians.”
