Flaxseed, Spirulina, Maca, and Wheatgrass

Flax is part of Linum in the family Linaceae. Flax is grown both for flaxseed and for its fibres. We human have consumed Flax Seed for thousands of years. Flax seed sprouts are edible, with a slightly spicy flavour. Research team at Duke University School of Nursing in Durham have recruited 161 men recently diagnosed with prostate problems and split them into four groups.

Wheatgrass is leaves in wheat, picked just after sprouting. It can be juiced or made into powder for us.
wheatgrass has 20 amino acids, a lot of enzymes, minerals, vitamins so forthe so on. It contains Lysine, Cysteine, Methionine, Phenylalanine and Threonine, whic are important amino acids that can only be acquired by human beings through food. Spirulina is also a very rich source of Vitamin B-12. Spirulina is rich in iron. It has higher amounts of Beta-Carotene. Spirulina is eaten in different ways over centuries for thousand years. Spirulina is helpful in preventing gastro enteric disturbances as it enhances intestinal flora such as Lactobacillus and Bifidus bacteria.

People grow it for its root. Maca can be eaten as food or medicinal herb. Maca has high content of protein and sugar. It has 60% carbohydrates, 10% protein, 8.5% dietary fiber, and 2.2% fats. Additionally it has uridine, malic acid, benzoyl derivative, and glucosinolates etc. Maca has high content in alkaloidal, minerals, and nutrients such as essential minerals (selenium, calcium, magnesium, and iron), polysaccharides, fatty acids, and 12 amino acids. South Americans have consumed maca for many centuries. Maca can boost our body, increase brain capability, and enhance our capabilities.
